First, and most importantly, we are Winners!
We like to play hard, have fun, and form friendships over the beautiful sport of soccer (aka football). We are a close-knit group of 20(ish) girls from a variety of walks of life, majors, and class years.
The Stanford Women's Club Soccer Team is a competitive but fun place for super awesome girls to gather and bond while getting some excercize and playing the best sport in the world at a high level. We like to play hard, have fun.
Practices happen three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 3:30-5. We practice on the Serra Square Fields located on the corner of Serra St and El Camino. Practices are mandatory and crucial for the team, however exceptions are made for classes.
Games happen on the weekends. On Sundays during the Spring we compete in the Silicon Valley Premier League (a local women's league), and occasionally have games against local colleges on Saturdays as well. Typically two times a quarter the team travels around the state to compete in club soccer tournaments (LA, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, etc). In the fall, we play usually one game a weekend against another University's club team.
We host a number of social events every quarter including mixers with other club sports teams, weekly team hang outs, and study sessions.
